NailGuard vs Acrygel vs Classic Builder

What is The Difference?

Are you wondering what the difference is between a builder gel and Acrygel? And what about NailGuard builders? Wonder no more!

A builder gel is a classic gel with a particular viscosity.

There are two main categories of builder gels: Hard gels and NailGuard builders.

Classic hard builders were created for all services except gel manicures. They come in different colors and viscosities. Some are self-leveling and some are not.

Acrygel is a unique self-leveling gel with acrylic powder in it. This makes it stronger than your classic builder. Acrygels are manufactured using CoolComfort Technology, meaning they produce no heat.

Both classic hard builders and Acrygels are not soak-off. They must be applied with a gel brush without any liquids, and both systems require our Silicone Thin Base as a first base layer.

If you’re looking for classic builders, consider our Ultimate Starter Kit. MagicGel’s classic hard builders were finalists in the category of Best Classic Builders (NailPro’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2022) .

The NailGuard System is a soft gel formula perfect for gel manicures, overlays, and salon length extensions.

NailGuard can be soaked off or refilled, is self-leveling, and comes in a variety of colors.

You can learn more about the NailGuard System here. Our NailGuard Clear Builder was voted Best Builder In A Bottle (NailPro’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2021).
